Is COOL-ER ebook Reader Mac and PC Compatible?
Yes.
How is COOL-ER different?
Unlike other readers, COOL-ER can read any JPEG, PDF, or TXT document, or any EPUB formatted ebook. Users can adjust the size of text to provide maximum ease of reading. It uses an E Ink VizplexTM screen that in fact mimics a book, readable at any angle and even in direct sunlight. I also have tried other popular readers and found the Cool-Er to have an easier to use, quicker and smoother user interface which makes it a joy to use unlike some rather clunky and slow models from other manufacturers.
Who is COOL-ER for?
Anybody who reads will love COOL-ER. The weight, size, shape and E Ink VizplexTM screen accurately recreates the feel of reading from a page, without the need to carry heavy books. COOL-ER can be used in any way books can, with the added bonus of providing MP3 features.
What are the advantages of E Ink VizplexTM?
E Ink Vizplex display’s reaction to light is identical to paper, and therefore can be viewed at any angle even when in direct sunlight. It produces no light of its own so it causes no eye strain and enables users to read for hours without any negative effects, just like a real book.
What languages does COOL-ER ebook Reader support
COOL-ER is the one reader that supports ebooks in many languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, German, French, Dutch, Russian, Korean, Ukrainian, Chinese and Japanese. Simply download and transfer your chosen text in your choice of language.
Where can I use COOL-ER?
Anywhere you would read a book. On a plane, boat, train, at home, or even on the beach!
How long is its battery life?
COOL-ER only requires battery power when turning pages, so users can run it for weeks without charging the battery. A single charge will last for 8,000 page turns, which is equivalent to reading an average novel fifteen times over!
Does it have a mains adapter?
Not as supplied but any USB compatible mains charger adapter can be used.
How many books can COOL-ER hold?
COOL-ER provides 1 gigabyte of storage and it includes a Secure-Digital (SD) card slot for expandable, removable storage. As with music, the number of books you can hold will depend on the type and size of book you download, but to give you an example, an average fiction bestseller is around 3MB. This means you can hold over 300 books on your COOL-ER and thousands more using an additional memory card and COOL-ER’s Secure Digital (SD) card slot.
What colours is COOL-ER available in?
We only stock the Cool-Er in our corporate Racing Green colour and these are dispatched within 24 hours of receiving your order and payment. The special bundles that include free pocket books and training courses are only available on racing green colour.
However, COOL-ERs come in eight fantastic colours: Ruby, Blue Sky, Hot Pink, Vivid Violet, Cool Pink, Racing Green, Black Jack and Silver Shine. We would be delighted to order any other colour for you but please remember delivery for these other colours can take up to 14 days.
Can I listen to audio files with COOL-ER?
COOL-ER has a built-in MP3 media player so you can listen to thousands of audio books or learn a new language with one of more than 40 language courses available from coolerBOOKS.com. You can also add your favourite music tracks for those times when you want to take a few minutes out to reflect on the last chapter!
How easy is COOL-ER to install on my PC or laptop?
COOL-ER is plug and play compatible. No CD-Rom, no formatting, just use the USB cable provided to download your book and you will be reading in a matter of minutes!
Can I use my COOL-ER to view academic texts?
Yes, COOL-ER has 8 text sizes which allow easy zoom in and out. Perfect for viewing complicated diagrams.
Can I read my own documents on my COOL-ER?
Yes, you can upload files from any source to your COOL-ER provided they are in the correct format and you have the right to view them.
How do I transfer files to my COOL-ER?
Simply plug your COOL-ER into your computer’s USB slot with the included cable and drag and drop your documents for immediate rapid transfer.
COOL-ER has a very straightforward folder system; save your files into your individually named folders. You choose how to sort your library; for example by genre, date or favourite author. You have full control of your filing.
Does it display images ?
Yes it will display images in grey scale, both in portrait and landscape aspect.
Which files formats can I use with my COOL-ER?
You can read formatted documents in PDF and EPUB as well as FB2, RTF, TXT and HTML. Additionally, you can listen to your favourite MP3 audio files and view JPG and PRC images. With such a wide choice of formats, you’ll find you can use your COOL-ER for almost all documents!
Thinking of returning your COOL-ER?
If for any reason you are unhappy with your COOL-ER you can return it to us in its original condition.
Email support@sparrowmc.co.uk within 14 days of receiving your COOL-ER for a unique returns number and details of our collection policy.
You can return your COOL-ER to us and we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item provided it is undamaged and in the original packaging.
So we can continue to improve our service, it would be useful if you could also include your reason for return within your email text.
Faulty COOL-ER?
In the unlikely event that we send you a faulty COOL-ER, please contact us at support@sparrowmc.co.uk explaining the fault within 28 days of receipt. We will then organise a replacement.
